New Home Exteriors, Inc. (NHE, Inc.) is a full service union carpentry contractor specializing in siding and associated insulation work serving the residential sector in the Chicagoland Area. Our firm was established in 1996, and actually began commencing contract work in 1995. We serve the both the remodeling market and the new construction industry, completing work on single family homes along with multi-family apartment and hotel buildings. We install all types of siding - vinyl, aluminum, wood and metal. We blow-in insulation and air seal existing homes making them more efficient. We also furnish and install shutters and formed architectural millwork. In 2008 we started a green division of our company (Green Life) to assist homeowners concerned about the environment. Offering energy saving sidings, adding additional "R" values to your homes walls and attic spaces, to using renewable and green products, we can help you lessen your carbon footprint, saving our planet for future generations. In 2011 we added Home Performance Audits, using BPI protocols, to assist homeowners in saving money.

• Steven Kruse serves as President of New Home Exteriors, Inc. and oversees sales, estimating; in addition he also supervises the day-to-day field operations. Steven has a background as a union siding installer with a combined 50 years of experience with Robert (his brother) and currently retains his union status knowing the intricacies of the siding installation business. He recently completed training in advanced air sealing techniques as well as obtaining his green building certification from the National Homebuilders Association.
• Robert Kruse is the company Secretary/Treasurer and oversees all aspects of the business. Robert has a background in Management as well as siding installation. He has been certified by the Building Performance Institute (bpi) as an Energy Auditor. He is certified in advanced air sealing techniques as well as combustion appliance safety. He has obtained his green building certification and uses this expertise to facilitate quality installation.

New Home is a family run business with both Robert and Steven on the jobsite providing production, quality, and service direction in their respective areas. This system of supervision provides control and quality on a consistent basis. We also employ another brother and a brother-in-law making this a true family operation, proud of our accomplishments.

Our firm has an office and shop located in Island Lake, IL. We also have the capability to produce any aluminum flashing fabrication often providing material for other siding and carpenter contractors along with siding suppliers. We have the ability to obtain material from a variety of manufacturers, so we are able to provide you with a vast array of products and finishes, making your home unique to your personal preferences.
